Extend Analytics Studio
Ship a Cube, the package that adds metrics, reports, dashboards and data to Analytics Studio, and take it through review to the tenants who install it.
A Cube adds metrics, reports, dashboards and, where it needs them, its own datasets to Analytics Studio. It is a small set of JSON files with optional CSV data, versioned on its own and released through the same review as Apps and Themes. A tenant installs it from the Cube marketplace in Analytics Studio, and its reports then appear in the studio's sidebar.
An App that wants its own data to be analyzable ships an analytics.json with the App. A Cube is for what sits next to the Apps: a report across several Apps, reference data such as public holidays, or numbers from an outside source.
Before you start
- A tenant, and permission to open Analytics Studio in Cockpit.
- For the command-line route: Node.js 22 or newer and the revenexx CLI.
The guides
- Deploy and release a Cube — start a Cube from the template, validate it locally, deploy it with the CLI or from a connected repository, follow its release round, and install it in Analytics Studio.
Where to go next
- Analytics Studio — what the studio offers today and how data gets into it.
- Deploy and verify an App — the same release review, seen from an App.
