Type generation
What revenexx types and revenexx generate do today, why they do not read your tenant's schema, and how to get typed calls instead.
The CLI ships two type-generation commands, types and generate. Neither reads your tenant's schema or its OpenAPI document today, so they cannot give your editor the fields of your own resources.
Both work from a local revenexx.config.json file. Nothing in the CLI fills that file with resource definitions, and generate points at a revenexx init project command that does not exist. On CLI 0.5.0, types fails without resource definitions and generate produces an empty scaffold at best. (As of 2026-09.)
Flags and exit codes are in the global commands reference.
Get typed calls instead
- Use a typed SDK. The clients ship with types for the public API, and you upgrade them to pick up changes.
- Fetch your tenant's OpenAPI document yourself and feed it to the generator of your choice. The request is in API versioning.
